I decided to give this nude thing a try. On a trip to Chicago I decided to swing by Sun Aura Resort. As I got closer the exit, my mind started racing, do I do this or not? Like so many people I was embarrassed at someone seeing me nekkid. As you can see from the picture I am over weight. To top it off it was October 2010, so my manhood was a little cold. Once again see picture. I decided I will do it; I took the exit and headed towards the camp.
When I got there I pulled inside and went to the round building to check in. I went inside and walked up to the desk, I checked in, the lady at the front desk was pretty and very polite. I explained this was my first time trying this. She went over the rules. I read the website before going so I was familiar with them. She gave me a map and I asked where the trails where. I drove down to the small pond they have. I got undressed in the car. I was very nervous. I put my boots on, grabbed my towel and got out. This was the moment, I was taught that nudity is wrong as a child, but here I am nude outside/public. Due to the cold air and the 'scared' feeling, I did not have to worry about an erection thank goodness. I went around the pond and headed for the trails. I started out on the dirt trails and then left them for the dirt bike trails through the woods. I figured as I get comfortable and more relaxed, the chance of an erection increases. I walked through the trails for close to 30 minutes. While in the trails they criss crossed a lot. One trail came close to some mobile homes. At first I did not think these were part of Sun Aura, since I kept the highway mostly to my right, I figured I was further west then Sun Aura and figured this may be a normal camping site. so I skirted around them. I found a regular dirt trail and followed that. I once again came across some mobile homes fairly close to the first set. From here I can see the round house, the check in point, so I knew I was still in the resort. I decided to walk through and head back to the car as I forgot my drink and I was thirsty. This was the real moment of truth. Anybody can be nude by themselves such as being in the woods. I walked out of the tree line and through the RV's past the Leg Sundial. Here I was butt nekkid in public for the first time in my life. I still had a little fear in me but the freedom was quickly taking over. As I headed past the round house and through camp, other people were about. There were a few people driving their vehicles towards the gate and a few riding golf carts through the camp. They looked at me but did not stare. One lady in a vehicle did a glance up and down, I can tell she was not impressed with my grape nuts, her face made the slightest change after the glance, but whatever. I continued my walk through the camp back to my car. It was thrilling to be nude walking through an area with buildings and people. I got to my car and checked my phone to see if I had any calls. None, so I was good for another walk. I grabbed my towel again and headed out. This time it would be a shorter walk through the woods. About half way through the woods I had to pee. Now this is the weird thing, I pee often, but since I had the scared feeling still I just couldn't do it. It was not natural to be in nude outside. It took a awhile but I peed. I was in the service before and have urinated outside as well as defecate, but this was different. With that accomplished I headed back to the camp. I emerged from the woods at a different place in the camp, right in front of some of the cottages. I walked through their less scared and more confident. I walked at a normal pace and headed towards the car. When I got to the car I got dressed and headed to the Round house to check out. I wanted some memento, a picture of Sun Aura Resort, so I asked the check in lady if I can take a picture, my concern was one of the rules which said no cameras. She said I could take a picture of the leg. Another lady that was in there at the time offered to take a picture of me in front of the Leg Dial. I said sure. As we both headed out to the leg, I asked if I can do it naked. She said sure. so I stripped down again and posed for my picture that you see above. It was a little odd to be outside talking to a woman while getting naked. In my life if I was talking to a woman and getting undressed there was most likely some sex going on, but this was different. It felt almost like just taking off my coat when I go to work. With the picture taken I got dressed and went back to the car to continue my road trip. I think my idea was perfect, I went when it was a little cool, and near the end of the season when there would be less people around. Things could have been different if it was the middle of the summer and nude women were around. The stereo type is that old fat people are at nudist camps, well that may be true, but from the clothed people I seen that day, some looked ok. Not that I am a perfect 10, but in the summer with more people, I am sure some of them would be attractive and then if my mind wandered and an erection occurred, my experience would have been negative and that would have been it. As it turns out my experience was over all a good one and will try it again. I would like to go again in the spring just as it starts to warm up. Hopefully there will be others nude so I can get more comfortable. I would like to head back there in April or May. I have recently found out they have smaller version of The Burning Man which I would like to see. - Rick |
